"Maracuda" selected for the competition at leading indie animation festival, Seoul Indie-AniFest

The Myth of Maracuda has been officially selected for the competition program at the Seoul Indie-AniFest, one of South Korea’s leading international festivals dedicated to independent animation starting  from September 18th, 2025.

The colorful backdrop, the various exotic animals, the endless chatter and absurd events draw the viewer into The Myth of Maracuda. There is the classic theme of the main character, Maracuda, growing through the adventure, but this film is also made rich by certain striking elements, in particular Tink,  the Bird from Beyond. From the beginning, we are introduced to the amazing secret of human evolution. Then we skip forward a million years to see Maracuda’s growth in prehistoric era.  Maracuda proves himself through language and friendship rather than strength. It could be a message about the many conflicts that can be seen around the world in recent times. Just watching the splendid animation can offer lots of enjoyment, but if we pay attention to the film’s message, we can experience it even more deeply.
