CTB Film Company was founded by legendary producer Sergey Selyanov in 1992. Sergey Selyanov is also the Head of Russian Association of Motion Pictures and TV Producers, he received Producer’s AMPA and Winner of 2021 FIAPF Award for outstanding achievement in Asia Pacific regions among his other numerous awards.

Within several years CTB Film Company was producing motion pictures directed by one the brightest and most talented film directors in the world Alexey Balabanov: Brother (1997), Of Freaks and Men (1998), “ It does not hurt”(2006), “Сargo 200”(2007), ”Me too” (2012).
In 2003 Sergey Selyanov received the National Award of the Russian Federation in cinematography for war drama Cuckoo, which was also warmly accepted and highly praised by numerous international film festivals including San Francisco International Film Festival.
In 2007 historic blockbuster Mongol made in co-production with Kazakhstan was nominated for an Oscar Academy Award. The story outlined the rise of one of the most charismatic and merciless war leaders, Chingiz Khan.
