MENA Rights to Moonzy 2: The Dark Side of the Moon Sold at European Film Market

At the European Film Market, theatrical distribution rights for the upcoming animated feature Moonzy 2: The Dark Side of the Moon have been sold to the MENA territory.

The film is directed by Oscar nominee Konstantin Bronzit and is scheduled for release in August 2026. The deal includes a full theatrical rollout across the region.

Moonzy 2: The Dark Side of the Moon is based on the hugely popular children’s TV series Moonzy, which follows the adventures of Moonzy, a fluffy Moonchild, and his group of insect friends. The franchise has enjoyed long-running success on television and across multiple international markets.

The new feature is a sequel to the animated film Moonzy: Homecoming, continuing the cinematic expansion of the beloved brand. The sequel promises a more ambitious storyline while preserving the warmth, humor, and educational themes that have made Moonzy a favorite among young audiences and families.
