Zabava, the niece of the Prince, is deeply in love with a young messenger named Yelisey. However, their love is threatened when the Prince falls into significant debt with a wealthy merchant who desires to marry Zabava. In a cunning scheme, the merchant hides Zabava and attempts to force her into marriage, while the Prince spreads rumors that she has been kidnapped by a fearsome dragon.
Dobrynya, the renowned local hero, is summoned to embark on a perilous journey to rescue Zabava from the clutches of the dragon. Accompanied by Yelisey, who is deeply concerned for his beloved, Dobrynya faces numerous challenges along the way. Unbeknownst to them, they must also confront an ancient witch who has formed an alliance with the merchant, posing an additional threat to their mission.
